What is Herbal Healing Liniment?

Herbal Healing Liniment, or "Tieh tah jiu," may be translated as "Iron Palm Wine."  It is a generic term for a collection of Chinese herbs specially prepared in a base of alcohol and used externally to promote blood circulation, reduce pain and swelling induced by trauma, and remove blood stagnation.

The use of traditional Chinese medicinal liniments began during the Han Dynasty, between 202 BCE and 220 CE.  This Herbal Healing Liniment has been prepared according to ancient Chinese tradition, using traditional materials and methods.

Herbal Healing Liniment may be applied by rubbing or massaging into the skin and muscles.  It has superlative warming effects and promotes healing of damaged tissues by increasing blood circulation and removing toxins that tend to gather at the site of injury.  Swelling is reduced and the aches, pain and inflammation associated with injury and arthritis are alleviated.  Athletes favor this liniment for its ability to rapidly remove lactic acid that tends to accumulate in muscle tissue as a normal by-product of muscular contraction.  It can strengthen bones and sinews, alleviate stiffness of joints as well as painful lower back and knees.
